The story · since 2013

One master. A 24-year practice. A growing academy.

REJAUTSU Taekwondo Academy was founded in 2013in Dehradun. We’ve trained 2,500+ students, produced 60+ Black Belts, and put 30+ on the national stage. Quietly. One belt at a time.

The master

Abhishek Joshi

3rd Dan Black Belt · Kukkiwon-certified · National Referee

The mentor behind the academy

Trained since 2002. Coaching since 2013.

Master Abhishek Joshi began training in 2002 under Shashikant Sir, and has not stepped off the mat since. He holds a Kukkiwon-certified 3rd Dan Black Belt and is a registered National Referee. His credentials extend beyond the dojang — engineering, management, physical education, and human nutrition all inform how he coaches.

He founded REJAUTSU in 2013 while still in a corporate career, then walked away from corporate in 2017 to teach full-time. He has been the appointed Uttarakhand Team Coach for the Cadet National Championship four times (2019, 2022, 2023, 2025), and convened the 3rd National Conference on Sports & Physical Education with Amity University.

Most parents meet him at the trial class. After that, he knows their child by name.

The philosophy

Four things we won’t compromise.

01

Belts are earned, never given

Every grading is a measurable test. We will tell a child they are not ready — and exactly what to work on. Belts that mean something can’t be sold.

02

The dojang fits the child, not the other way around

Mainstream batches and the All-Abilities program run side by side. Same uniform, same Master, same belt system — adapted methodology only where the child needs it.

03

Discipline is taught by the room, not the rule book

Bow in. Bow out. Listen. Try. Get up. We do this for sixty minutes, three times a week. The behaviour outlasts the lesson.

04

Quiet about results — until the medals arrive

We do not promise champions. We produce them when the work is done. The scoreboard tells one story; the students tell a longer one.
